Happy New Year and a prosperous 2018!
As usual the Christmas period was over far too quickly! A very enjoyable time but probably not a time that should go on too long! It’s good to get back to routine. So the big question, what are the predictions for 2018?
Reading the property press it seems unanimous that we will still see growth in the housing sector but a slow growth of around 2%, Rightmove reckon 1%. It is positive that it is an increase, but a slow increase. London is predicted to fall by 4.5%. Lots of different reasons as to why this may be but uncertainty with Brexit seems to be one of the reasons along with the cost of moving meaning sellers will stay put in 2018. This in turn will mean strong rental markets, as people struggle to find their dream home.
