So as I take another stroll in my local patch, I stumble across a sign which I’ve never taken much notice of before. It was referring to being safe, by following the estuary ‘Code of Conduct’.
Now as I had time on my hands, I stopped and took it all in….
I came away feeling quite good about learning something new and very pleased with myself. It then dawned on me, the current COVID-19 situation had triggered me to take note of the ‘Code of Conduct’ on the board in the first place.
As always, whatever rules and regulations are put in place by the powers that be, people will always follow or set their own codes of conduct. Some will follow, others will not and often selfishly disregard, not thinking about the bigger picture. This certainly is highlighted at the moment, thankfully by the minority.
However, the current lives we are all living has certainly made me think harder about my own ‘Code of Conduct’ and how our actions can have a profound impact on the people around us.
I am sure a lot of good will also come out of this life changing position we are all in.
