So when looking out of the window isn’t an option, when working from home what does an Estate Agent do all day, during this unusual time? Well so far this week, I have moved in 3 lots of tenants into their new properties, exchanged and completed on a house in town, spoken to my clients, watched more webinars than I care to mention, called my applicant database to check that they are well, re-assured people that when this Pandemic isover I will be available to carry out viewings for them.
One of the things I have noticed is just how grateful people seem to be, to receive a phone call, to ask how they are doing. It is that action of engaging with people which seems to be the important thing. It is a basic human principle to communicate, and people enjoy that social interaction, albeit from my home office, rather than meeting up with people.
So I shall continue to speak to all of my clients, buyers and sellers; to inquire if they are ok, or if they are in need of anything, or if there is anything that I can do for them.
This unusual period and time of reflection, has reminded me that the whole reason that I LOVE MY JOB is because of the people, I simply love helping people to Move.
