Certainly for the property market it has been an odd summer, a quiet Spring and early Summer due to election fiascos, but July and August that should have been quiet we have seen a very good level of sales and rentals. Several sales achieved with some properties being sold and rented in a matter of days.
NAEA report that the supply of housing nationally has been the worst since records began, for buyers this has made it quite tricky as there is just not the available stock so choice is limited. As a result we have seen good quality properties sell quite quickly. We had one this week, sold £15,000 above the asking price! Not always the case as pricing right is still key. We are hopeful of a more active September and October which is traditional, but with the current climate anything is possible.
