If you’re looking for a bit of fresh air and exercise and also love pets, then being a volunteer for the Cinnamon Trust could be for you!
I was completely oblivious to this great charity, until one day my partner mentioned she was going to apply to be a volunteer (see photo of her with the lovely dog Gemma!). She helps a couple of residents in her local area, by walking their dogs, as they are not currently in a position to do so.
She does it to help but also she also thoroughly enjoys it! She’s built up a great rapport with both the owners and their dogs, whilst also meeting and saying hello to many other people on their walks.
After looking into it, it really is a fantastic charity, with a network of over 17,000 volunteers, who ‘hold hands’ with owners to provide vital loving care for their pets, keeping them together. This can include walking a dog for a housebound owner, fostering pets when owners need hospital care, fetching a cat food or even cleaning out a bird cage!
The trust needs help from people, to make sure there is peace of mind for owners, love, care, and safety for their beloved pets.
