Here we go again! Christmas is now over and a time now to stop eating and drinking so much, but anyway it was fun!
So what do we think will happen for the New Year? If anything the signs from the activity in the Christmas week are very promising, usually the week before Christmas is a very slow time for us, but literally up to the Friday before the phone was ringing and people were looking for houses to buy and rent with several bookings made the week between Christmas and New Year. The diary is already full for the first week back. So we are feeling pretty positive at this stage.
The market tends to stall around major events, so Brexit and Trump had their impact, the dust has settled now so we would expect the market to return favourably. Sellers are at an advantage as there is still a shortage of stock, so don’t wait until the spring, if you want to sell get on with it now. The market in general will through the year be steady as slight uncertainties exist re Brexit but we don’t expect too much bad news with this, so market should trundle on. A little early for stats for the Christmas period, so will look at these next month. Have a positive profitable New Year!
